As an independent kindergarten, San Remo Pre-school is run by a Committee of Management. Members of the Committee of Management are responsible for setting the direction of the service and ensuring that its goals and objectives are met in line with its constitution and all legal and regulatory requirements.
Joining the Committee is an excellent way for parents to contribute to the pre-school’s operations and its values and vision. It is also a great way to meet other parents and form strong social connections. The Committee meets regularly (once a month), and each meeting consists of an agenda of items that range from fundraising ideas/initiatives to grant applications for new equipment/facilities to policy items relating to the operation of the pre-school.
The Committee of Management consists of the core Executive team - which includes the President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer, and the General Committee, which have a range of functions and roles.
An election is held each year at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) to fill the Committee of Management positions.
